This week’s special: Featuring Farmer John’s Smoked Gouda!

Farmer John’s smoked gouda, portobello mushrooms from Palms Mushroom Cellars, Tomatoes from Don’s Produce, heirloom garlic, caramelized onion, bacon, finished with fresh basil and cracked pepper.

Update: This pizza has been so well received that we’ve kept it around for weeks!  As long as we can continue to get ripe, fresh Wisconsin tomatoes, I think we’re going to keep this one around.


This week’s special is incredibly delicious and local.  We’re featuring Farmer John’s Smoked Gouda.  John Dougherty is a fixture at various farmers markets around Dane County. His family has been making cheese in south central wisconsin since shortly after the turn of the last century.    The star of this particular pizza is his outstanding smoked gouda.  We add caramelized onions, local tomatoes, portobello mushrooms, heirloom garlic, bacon and finish it with cracked pepper and fresh basil.   Earthy, smoky and fresh tasting.
