Salvatore’s Wins the first Annual Slice of Sun Prairie Pizza Contest with Wine Poached Fig and Local Bacon Pizza.

On Saturday, August 12th, 7 of Sun Prairie’s restaurants gathered on Cannery Square to compete against each other to see who makes the best pizza. 

Salvatore’s won the following awards: 

Overall Grand Champion – Wine Poached Fig, Local Bacon, gorgonzola, and red wine balsamic reduction. 

Best Sauce

Best Toppings

Best Use of local Ingredients

Best Specialty or non-traditional pie.

  1. So excited!! this pie is the whole package!!! crust to die for, sauce your grandma WANTS to make, and if you don’t wanna eat with an imagination…the traditional pies will make you cry too!
