Weekend specials in Sun Prairie! 12/1

Hey Sun Prairie, we have some specials for you this weekend!  

Entree: Veal Saltimbocca- Wisconsin veal pounded thin and pan fried with prosciutto, sage and served over fresh linguini with spinach with a buttery lemon pan sauce. A Roman classic. 
Pie: our take on an Italian hoagie. hot soppressata, giardiniera (cauliflower, carrots, pickled jalapeño, yellow onion), pleasant ridge reserve , banana peppers, finished with arugula tossed in a garlic vinaigrette.
And for carry out and delivery : get a specialty pie or build your own 4 topping 16 inch pie with a large salad, chocolate chip cookies and a 2 liter soda for $29.

Antipasto: Underground Meats Coppa, Hidden Springs Ocooch Mountain aged sheeps milk cheese, over roasted local turnips, curried carrots, radish, charred spring onions and Vitruian Farms baby mizuna.

Salad: Vitruvian Farms mixed greens, Emerald Meadows snap peas, red onion, local tomatoes, strawberries, toasted pepitas, ricotta and cucumber vinaigrette.

Pie! Chili garlic and citrus marinated shrimp, emerald meadows farm broccoli rage, house made sassy cow garlic alfredo, sliced fresh garlic, calabrese chili peppers. A classic!

Dessert: House chocolate stout cake with chocolate ganache and fresh strawberries.

Wow. What a beautiful day! We want to be outside, but instead we’re making beautiful specials for you tonight.
Antipasto – Emerald Meadows Farm Asparagus with melted goat milk bucheron, grape tomatoes, Hawkwind heat Mustard and house cured bacon from Uphoff Farm.
Salad: Grape Tomatoes, Cucumbers red onions, kalamata olives, chèvre, vitruvian farms mixed greens and a greek style vinaigrette.
‪Pizza‬: Local lamb braised in red wine, shiitake mushrooms, Emerald Meadows Asparagus, roasted peppers and onions, farmer john’s smoked gouda, shaved sartori extra aged asiago, finished with Vitruvian Farms watercress.
Dessert! House made tarts with local rhubarb, strawberries, and vanilla gelato made with sassy cow cream! (do I sound excited about the dessert? Yeah, I am. I want them all )

What’s for dinner tonight? How about “The PHOX pie”. (Named in honor of one of our favorite bands) House made panang red curry, marinated shrimp, tri color bell peppers, red onions, finished with a daikon radish slaw and cilantro. It’s delicious, we promise.

Also serving Johnny’s house made founders porter chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and fresh strawberries.

And if you haven’t tried it yet, our Farmer John’s Smoked Gouda just became the 2014  Yelp Pizza Bracket Champion.  Out of 16 of the Madison area’s best pizza restaurants, our humble spot in Sun Prairie won the championship after 25 people tasted the pizzas and voted. We’re proud of that, for sure!
